Bright color

It's late summer and most of the flowers around our neighborhood are for the most part dried up. Here's a group that is still thriving. We have had too many hot, dry days.

It should cool off Sunday, with even a promise of rain Sunday evening or Monday.

We're going to the Vancouver Wine and Jazz Festival this weekend. Hope to get some good photo ops Saturday...tomorrow.

Kirby is focused on Walt. Meanwhile, I had camera set on wrong metering mode. Good Kirby...bad me! 

Mr. Handsome 

Socks lives up the street but rarely goes home to eat since her family brought home a dog from the local shelter. She's gotten so thin we broke down tonight and gave her some salmon. Guess that means we need to put water out and cat food on the grocery list for tomorrow. The next step would have to be a trip to the vet. Should we feed this cat or not??? It's a slippery slope. 

Miniature Schnauzer

And here's John, yes...again...on our beautiful summer evening. 

He's such a sweetie. We met his owners tonight while we were out walking. I got lots of doggie kisses. 

Much to my surprise, this is a 14 year old dog.
